About scam checks.

How can I tell if a text or email is a scam?
Look for pressure to act fast, requests for payment by gift card, wire or crypto, requests for codes or passwords, and links or phone numbers you didn't ask for. Real companies and agencies don't demand payment that way. When in doubt, contact the company using a number you find yourself.
Does this checker see my message?
No. Nothing you answer here is sent to us. It only looks at the warning signs you tell it about, so it can't promise a message is safe.
Is there a faster way to check a message?
OwlGuardian's Call My Owl feature checks a screenshot or photo of a text, pop-up, web page or letter and gives a verdict in about five seconds on iPhone. For email, OwlGuardian checks every incoming Gmail message automatically.
What should I do if I already clicked the link?
Don't enter anything else. If you typed a password, change it on the real website. If you typed card or bank details, call the number on the back of your card. Then follow our first 24 hours checklist.
